[BIRTHDAY]
180 YEARS OF MAISON BESSERAT DE BELLEFON:
a message from Nathalie Doucet, Chairwoman

"Today, I'd like to share with you the major event we're celebrating this year: 180 years of an extraordinary Champagne House.

"180 is a round number that follows the contours of Champagne Besserat de Bellefon's bubbles, which are 30% finer than those of a traditional champagne. It's a unique singularity of which we're proud, and whose secret we've kept as part of our heritage... When tasted, they provide "La Sensation BB".

BB" are two letters that express a certain Art de Vivre, French elegance and a certain audacity. Know-how and exceptional quality have brought our famous "Cuvée des Moines" to the world's finest tables over the years. Today, the 180th anniversary cuvée completes the range. More recently, the "Triple B" cuvée, a Brut Nature champagne certified organic and biodynamic... Blanc de Blancs, Blanc de Noirs, Bleu Brut, Rose Brut, Extra-Brut, Millésime 2013, Cuvées de Prestige 1843 and Brigitte Bardot... With my whole team, we and our cellar master, Cédric Thiébault, have even more wonderful surprises in store for you in the years to come."

"Maison Besserat de Bellefon is the exclusive supplier to events linked to the French art of living: the Etoiles de Mougins - the international gastronomy festival - and the International Festival of Culinary Photography."

"I welcome you to the BB world, where our slogan "Freedom, Elegance and Simplicity" will continue to resonate as values for future generations. I invite you to discover our complete range in our online boutique. A final word of advice: subscribe to our page without delay and follow us on social networks so you don't miss any of the latest news from Champagne Besserat de Bellefon. See you soon.

MAISON PHILIPPONNAT TAKES VITICULTURE A STEP FURTHER

This commitment to healthy, sustainable viticulture is designed to encourage all our partner winegrowers to become certified as High Environmental Value (HVE, level 3), Viticulture Durable en Champagne (VDC), Terra Vitis, or Organic (Ecocert, Demeter, etc.).

In addition, Champagne PHILIPPONNAT has defined its own viticultural specifications, which will be progressively implemented this year.

Its main objectives are the total abandonment of chemical weeding and the exclusive use of organic and biocontrol products for vineyard protection, as has already been the case for several years in the House's own vineyards.

Compliance with these specifications and certifications will be rewarded with specific premiums for the winegrowers concerned.

BOIZEL BY TOQUÉ FRÈRES - LIMITED EDITION BOX SET

Maison Boizel has teamed up with the talented Toqué Frères, whose works embellish cities with colors, horizons and positive messages. Expert typographers and fans of Méheut and Sorolla, Toqué Frères' work combines a message that catches the eye with humor and wordplay, with an old-fashioned aesthetic. Their world, full of vintage codes reminiscent of the glory days of poster artists, is blooming in urban landscapes all over France.

Eager to make a statement, Toqué Frères accepted Maison Boizel's invitation to design an original case and a label that pushes Champagne beyond its traditional codes. Their gamble paid off with the 2023 edition of Boizel By Toqué Frères, available exclusively at the end of the year.
The troublemakers of vintage art don't stop there! In order to make their signature statement at the very heart of the Champagne Maison, Florent Roques-Boizel has given the Toqué Frères carte blanche to express their art on the walls of 46 avenue de Champagne. An open-air work of art will be on display throughout the year: a novel and original choice that underscores Maison Boizel's ambition to enter a new and unexpected era!

Available from September 28 at the domaine and online at www.boizel.com

MAISON DE VENOGE LAUNCHES ITS FIRST EDITION OF PRINCES CUVEE IN BRUT

We knew the iconic Princes cuvée in extra-brut, in blancs de blancs, blancs de noir and rosé. Nowadays, it will be possible to taste it in brut.

Gilles de la Bassetière, President of Maison de Venoge: "This is the first edition of Princes Brut. It bears the seal of Louis XV coronation in Reims because on this occasion the term “sparkling Champagne” appeared on an official document in 1722. It could have been the 185th edition, but it gives connoisseurs the opportunity to buy the 1st edition of a cuvée which may one day become legendary…”

The Princes Brut cuvée is made from 34% Pinot Meunier, 33% Pinot Noir and 33% Chardonnay. It is made with 35% Reserve wines (2014 – 2015 – 2016), 65% based on the 2018 harvest. The wines come from 12 different villages. It is dosed at 5 g/l and was disgorged in June 2022.

LAUNCH OF NOBLE CHAMPAGNE

Maison Lanson presents NOBLE CHAMPAGNE. The exceptional nature of great wines expresses itself with time, so Hervé Dantan, Cellar Master of the Maison Lanson, has chosen to let Noble Champagne wait for nearly two decades in the cellar before presenting the 2004 vintage, one of the oldest vintages currently on the market.

NOBLE Champagne embodies the quest for excellence of the Maison Lanson.

DOMAINE ALEXANDRE BONNET, WINNER OF MULTIPLE AWARDS

Alain Pailley, cellar master at Domaine Alexandre Bonnet,
received a lifetime achievement award at the Champagne & Sparkling Wine World Championships 2022 in London.

In addition, Domaine Alexandre Bonnet has been named among the 2022 winners of the "Pierre Cheval de l’embellissement" Prize awarded by the Mission Coteaux, Maisons et Caves de Champagne. This prize was awarded to Didier Mélé, head of cultivation at the Domaine.

LAUNCH OF THE "HOMMAGE A GASTON BURTIN" CUVEE

GAMME HGB.jpg

By launching the “Hommage à Gaston Burtin” range, Frédéric Olivar, President of Maison Burtin, wants to make famous someone who always refused to be. Telling the story of Gaston Burtin is not only paying tribute to our founder, but also perpetuating the legacy of a major player in the Champagne appellation: founder of the 2nd most beautiful Champagne business in the 1960’s and 1970’s years, President of the “Association Syndicale des Négociants en Vins de Champagne” (1967-1973), successive takeovers of flagship Champagne Maisons of the 20th century (including Giesler, Gauthier, then Lanson and Besserat de Bellefon), making him one of the 50 most beautiful French fortunes according to the Expansion…

To pay homage is to honor. To pay tribute is not to forget.

Elegance and discretion are also the brand values created in his homage. Refined cuvées that sublimate the diversity and richness of the Champagne terroir for unforgettable tasting moments.

BE DAZZLED BY THE BESSERAT DE BELLEFON RÉSERVE COLLECTION MADE UP OF 4 VINTAGES: 1985, 1986, 1990 AND 1992, TREASURES FROM THE MAISON'S CELLARS!

For the first time, Maison Besserat de Bellefon is announcing some of its most precious bottles in special editions: the 1985, 1986, 1990 and 1992 vintages, brought together in its “Réserve Collection”

TSARINE MILLÉSIME 2003 GRAND CRU BLANC DE BLANCS,
A MAISON’S TREASURE CREATED BY THE CELLAR MASTER ISABELLE TELLIER

A great wine intended for connoisseurs and serious champagne lovers. Isabelle Tellier gives us her tasting notes: “Tsarine Millésime 2003 is an intense brilliant gold color; its bubbles are exceptionally fine. The nose expresses the wealth of sun that year with flavors of toasted bread, hazelnuts, and roasted notes. The well-balanced palate is voluptuous and reveals notes of quince jelly, peanut butter and sweet spices. The finish is elegant, with iodine and saline notes.”

Some bottles on request. All information on this link.
